This privacy policy applies to Stiftung Strassenkinder Hilfswerk NAG, Switzerland.
In this privacy policy, we explain how we collect and process personal data. By personal data we mean all information relating to an identified or identifiable person. When we refer to the processing of your personal data in this privacy policy, we mean any handling of your personal data. If you provide us with the personal data of other persons (e.g. family members, friends), please ensure that these persons are aware of this privacy policy and only share their personal data with us, if you are permitted to do so and this personal data is correct.
The protection of your personal data is very important to us and is therefore the responsibility of all NAG employees. NAG does not trade in addresses, does not rent, sell or exchange personal data and complies with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the Swiss Data Protection Act (DPA) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Processing purposes in connection with communications:
-
- Provision, administration and implementation of donation and customer communication by post and electronic means of communication;

The enrichment of profiles with third-party data includes, for example: missing address and contact details (e.g. telephone number), data from the Federal Statistical Office, calendar data or geodata.
3.2 Newsletter / invitations
NAG informs you by e-mail and mail about current topics and invites you to events. We will send you our NAG newsletter if you have given us your consent (e.g. by providing your e-mail address when making a donation). You have the option of informing us by e-mail, mail or phone at any time that you no longer wish to receive (e-)mail from us.
4. How do we protect personal data?
We have technical and organizational security procedures in place to protect the security of personal data and to protect personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and/or against accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or access. These comply with the security standards set out in the relevant laws such as the FADP or, where applicable, the GDPR.
5. How long do we store data?
We process and store personal data for as long as it is necessary for the fulfillment of our contractual and legal obligations or for the processing of the purposes pursued; e.g. as long as the entire business relationship lasts; or beyond that, if required by statutory retention and documentation obligations. It is possible that personal data may be stored for the period during which claims can be asserted against our organization and insofar as we are otherwise legally obliged to do so or legitimate business interests require this (e.g. for evidence and documentation purposes).
6. What rights do you have in connection with your personal data?
You have rights that enable you to effectively control your personal data and the way in which we process it. We explain your rights in connection with your personal data below.
6.1 You can request information about your personal data
If you request information about your personal data, we will provide you with a copy of the personal data you have requested and information about its processing.
Your right to information may be restricted in the cases provided for by law.
6.2 You can request the rectification of your personal data
If you believe that your personal data is incorrect or incomplete, you may request that this personal data be amended or completed accordingly. In some cases, the submission of supporting documents may be required.
6.3 You can request the deletion of your personal data
If you wish, you can request the deletion of your personal data to the extent permitted by law.
6.4 You can object to the processing of your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests
If you do not consent to processing based on a legitimate interest, you can object to this on grounds relating to your particular situation. In this case, please inform us in detail about the relevant processing and the reasons for your objection. We will stop processing your personal data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for doing so or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
6.5 You can object to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising.
6.6 You can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data
If you contest the accuracy of the personal data we use or object to the processing of your personal data, we will review or revise your request. You can request that we restrict the processing of your personal data while we review your request.
6.7 You can withdraw your consent
In cases where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw this consent at any time.
6.8 You can request the portability of part of your personal data
You may request a copy of the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. Where technically feasible, you may request that we transfer this copy to a third party.
6.9 Complaint to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner
In addition to the rights mentioned above, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern.
7. How can you contact us?
If you wish to exercise your rights in relation to your personal data or have questions or concerns regarding the processing of your personal data, you can contact us as follows: info@nagnepal.com. We will respond to your questions or concerns within a reasonable time after receiving them.
8. What personal data do we pass on?
As part of our business activities and purposes, we also disclose personal data to third parties insofar as this is permitted and appears appropriate to us (e.g. because they process it for us). These are in particular the following bodies:
- Service providers who are commissioned by us to process your data (e.g. printers, IT providers, payment platforms such as RaiseNow etc.);
- Certain regulated professions such as lawyers, notaries or auditors, if this is necessary in certain circumstances (legal disputes, auditing, etc.).
- Public authorities, official bodies or courts.
9. International transfer of personal data
In the case of international transfers from Switzerland and the European Economic Area (EEA) to a non-EEA country (third country), your personal data may be transferred across borders. In particular, you must expect the transfer to countries in Europe, but also worldwide, where the service providers we use are located. If the FDPIC or the European Commission has recognized that a third country offers an adequate level of data protection, your personal data may be transferred on this basis.
For transfers to a third country whose level of protection has not been recognized as adequate by the FDPIC and the European Commission, we will either rely on a derogation applicable to the situation (e.g. if the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract with you) or apply one of the following appropriate safeguards to ensure the protection of your personal data:
- Standard contractual clauses approved by the FDPIC and the European Commission;
- Binding internal data protection rules.
10. Cookies and tracking when using the website
We typically use “cookies” and similar technologies on our websites to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file that is sent to your computer or automatically stored on your computer or mobile device by the web browser you use when you visit our website. This enables us to recognize you when you return to this website, even if we do not know who you are. In addition to cookies that are only used during a session and are deleted after your visit to the website (“session cookies”), cookies can also be used to store user settings and other information for a certain period of time (e.g. two years) (“permanent cookies”). However, you can set your browser so that it rejects cookies, only stores them for one session or otherwise deletes them prematurely. Most browsers are preset to accept cookies.
We use permanent cookies to save user settings (e.g. language, autologin) so that we can better understand how you use our offers and content, and so that we can show you offers and advertising tailored to you (which can also happen on websites of other companies; however, we do not tell them who you are, if we know that at all, because they only see that the same user is on their website who was also on a certain page with us). Some of the cookies are set by us, some are also set by contractual partners with whom we work. If you block cookies, certain functionalities (such as language selection or booking processes) may no longer work.
Google Analytics uses cookies and is a tool to analyze how you use the website. The information generated by such a cookie is sent to Google Analytics and stored on its servers. Google Analytics uses this information to analyze the use of this website. This is information about the number of visitors, which pages are the most popular, where users have spent most of their time and where they come from in the world. No personal data that could identify the user is stored or displayed.
11. social media plug-ins
We also use plug-ins from social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram on our website. This is visible to you in each case (via corresponding symbols). We have configured these elements so that they are deactivated by default. If you activate them (by clicking on them), the operators of the respective social networks can register that you are on our website and where and can use this information for their purposes. The processing of your personal data is then the responsibility of this operator in accordance with its data protection provisions. We do not receive any information about you from them.
12. changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to revise, amend or otherwise supplement this privacy policy at any time. The current version published on our website shall apply. If we make changes, we will publish them immediately on our website.
