On the last Sunday of March 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming our donors and friends of NAG at the Frame movie theatre in Zurich. A heartfelt thank you goes to the Frame team for their generous support and for making it possible to host this year’s event in such a wonderful setting.
We were thrilled that so many NAG friends made their way to Zurich to hear about the exciting but also funny updates from Nicole Thakuri-Wick about life in NAG. However, the highlight at this year’s event was the “Gateway to Nepal” – a live broadcast from NAG in Kathmandu.
Our NAGer Jamuna guided our visitors on a virtual tour though NAG, offering a deep and personal glimpse into Nag’s daily life: to our bakery and sports facilities, to various school rooms and the kitchen (where we prepare over 450 meals per day for our hungry children and staff) and all the way to the medical clinic as well as to our famous Red Panda Café, run by NAGers. It was a fascinating insight, especially for those who had never visited or hadn’t been at NAG for a long time.
It was very inspiring to see what Nicole and her team have achieved over the years, and how passionately they support and care for the children every single day. Their commitment extends far beyond the walls of NAG – reaching into remote mountain regions, where they tirelessly support children, their families, and entire village communities with dedication.

Following the live broadcast and updates from NAG, we were pleased to introduce a new member to the board of the foundation. We are delighted to welcome Matthias Lüscher.
Matthias is a video journalist and producer, known for his documentaries such as “Wahnsinn Everest”, “Kosmos Büne Huber” and many more. Connected with Nepal for many, he did not hesitate to take on his new role. He replaces Prof. Dr. Frédéric Perrier, a valued member of the board since the beginning, who sadly passed away last year.
There has also been a change within the Swiss team: Silvia Lüthi replaces Christine Winkler and Rahel Bücheler-Hardmeier, who have managed our office in Switzerland over the past years with great dedication and supported the foundation in many manners. We sincerely thank them for their tireless commitment and hope they will remain connected to NAG in the future! With Silvia, we have gained someone who has known NAG and Nepal for a long time.

After the live broadcast and speeches, our guests were invited to enjoy coffee and cake, as well as the NAG bazaar in the Frame lounge.

Thanks to the wonderful support of many dedicated NAG volunteers, our guests were treated to a delicious buffet of homemade cakes and they had the opportunity to take home souvenirs handmade by our NAGers or some spices from Nepal.
A big thank you goes to everyone who attended and supported the event, as well as for the generous support of our donors throughout the years. Without you, NAG wouldn’t be able to carry out the many meaningful projects or share the inspiring stories that make NAG so special.
A very special thank you also goes to our amazing volunteers and all the talented cake bakers – your time, dedication, and generosity made this event possible!
